I don't think Liberals have the same boundless appetite to hear their own opinions reinforced again and again and again that conservatives have. I listened to Air America all the time at first, but eventually, it gets boring. You feel the need for other points of view. Conservatives don't have that problem.

What you don't get is that radio is not about "getting your views represented." It is about stations getting high ratings so they get advertisers. Liberal radio doesn't get that because liberals can't understand how to run a business.

Air America went bankrupt because greedy frauds like Randi Rhodes demanded $1 million a year and a car & driver in her contract. Watch the video "Left of the Dial" Rhodes whines she is not getting enough attention. She spent over $100,000 on plastic surgery etc. Liberals don't like hypocrites.

The reason Air America failed is the same reason NPR would fail if it had no taxpayer money to save it from the free market: There's no demand for it. The reason Right Wing radio succeeds is that it provides a much-needed counterpoint to the lies and distortions of the corrupt MSM...which demonizes the U.S., Christians, Bush, Palin, the rich and our military...which makes victims of our enemies, muslims, Leftists and the poor...which deifies their master Obama. AA is simply more of the same.

@omgitsmikegravel That's a good point. Studies have shown that conservatives want closure, they see things in black and white and cannot tolerate ambiguity. They don't want to think so much about the actual information- they'll take it as fact as long as it's pounded home in plain English with a loud voice.
