ICE Cracks Down On Illegal Immigrants, Gang Members

Agents from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, also known as ICE, teamed up with local police and deputies for a summer sweep of street gang members -- also thought to be illegal immigrants.

"Several of the individuals we arrested have had criminal charges against them -- some including attempted murder, " ICE agent Mark Garrand said.

There were raids in Fort Lauderdale and around the country this summer, leading to the arrests of more than 1,300 suspected gang members, WESH 2 News reported.
