Before Les Paul & Mary Ford made this into a million record seller, it was a dixieland, then a swing standard. It was written by Gene Lockhart and music by the concert pianist Ernest Seitz aka: Raymond Roberts in 1919!

  • This is brilliant. I love your arrangement. It's somewhat simple yet very, very effective. I'm 17 and this has always been one of my favorite songs (all my friends think I'm weird for liking it). My band did a punk rock rendition of this song about 2 years ago.

  • Thaks! This song is on my new album (much beter recording as well as slightly different variation) Please stay tuned for releas info.

I'd love to check out your punk version. Can you post it?

  • What a fantastic pianist you are! Have you got any cds out? Would love some recordings of you. Great talent.

  • Thanks much. My first CD will be available soon! Please keep watching for details.

  • "It!" you have "It!" Sir, God bless you!

  • Thank you! It's compliments like yours, that make me want to post. I especially feel this kind of American music is so inspirational and timeless!

  • Wonderment.

  • Fantastic playing! There have been many covers of my great grandfather's song (Gene Lockhart) and this is just great! Lovely!

  • Marvelous playing^^!!!

  • Awesome!!! Please post when your CD comes out.I can't wait.. Thanks for posting this.

  • I've never this song played in Dixieland-style. Fantastic! Ever think of playing your arrangements into a keyboard hooked up to the computer and selling the sheet music? I know I'd buy it.

  • Is that tap shoes I hear? Or spoons? Thanks for the new tune.

  • Very Nice. Fun music. Luvit!
