Asa (Ace) Harris (b.1910-d.1964) Piano jazz man played, sang, and arranged with a few bands most notably the Erskine Hawkins Orchestra. During the years 1945-1948 he recorded for NYC labels HUB and Sterling. His last recordings 1956 with singer Sil Austin. His daughter also named Asa is a singer recording artist on the MaxJazz label.
