The Bible isn't just a book of comfort and love, God isn't just a God of love and comfort. God is also a wrathful God, he is a jealous God, and the message isn't meant to be all light and feel goody. He is a God of war as well, and for those on the lost path it is a scary thing. He destroyed many in the old testament, and the Bible even says that you should fear the Lord. But you should love Him as well, it is a complex relationship to be had, but God must be treated with respect.

This is exactly where some people are. This is a very raw interpretation. Our hope is they are looking to the only One who can truly give them hope. Eph. 3:14-19 We were born with a purpose and something much more divine then the here and now ~ Go in strength, hope and peace

Awesome song. And I really like some of their darker sounding songs. Late Great Planet Earth and Crazy are also amazing imo. But Sink n' Swim and Hang On are probably my faves.

@DerekBarns Not exactly a positive "feel-good" song. It's life at it's worst, but saying it is a lie that it has to stay that way. Don't like my interpretation, then feel free to make your own.
