NO major spoilers.

This guide is directed at those who are still playing through Assassin's Creed for the first time. The greatest joy in the game comes from figuring out how to stealth assassinate one of the main targets on your first try, without reading a walkthrough first.

This video covers what I wish someone would have told me before my first assassination attempt. There are no major spoilers, just general advice on planning and escaping from an assassination.

  • LOL iano with a cocky voice thats sounds cool xD

  • Who, me? I prefer to describe my voice as nerdy. :-P

  • i never knew you could acutally PLAN your assassinations like this and i never knew about the notes to self. i also thought that when the game says to plan your assassination i thought it was just to sound fancy and complicated.

  • The game didn't document how to review your investigations. That's why I made this video.

  • How did you do the move at 5:12-5:15? I've done most of the assassinations, but never knew how to swing off of those poles right when I got to them, what button(s) am I supposed to press?

  • That whole sequence is just a straight-ahead free run. On Xbox the controls are Right Trigger + A + Left Thumbstick up.

Hold those controls as you hop across beams and candelabras, all the way to the hay cart. The Leap of Faith is automatic. If the hay cart weren't there I would have landed on the ground with a thud.

  • OH MY F$¨*$* GOD!

thank you for postin this cuz i really have a reason to play it :D

most players like me,do not care about it,and i did even know there was notes to self. \õ/ thx

  • Thank you SO much for this video. I was really starting to hate this game because I'm used to stealthing in different ways (hiding in shadows, and just running away) and I keep dying when I face guards head on. I didn't know about the menu to read the notes or about practicing escape routes. I was just brute forcing my way through.

  • i didn't know the game had those... and now i know why to not use the minimum amout of information! you have really good advice :)

  • I didn't know about the notes to self, thanks for this! Thankfully I'm not that far in the game, so I can put this video to good use :D

  • i ask about memories at end of the screen of sleceting memoies u know templars view points in wild flags what u get when u finish all of thaht

  • If Altair were lazy, he could just lather the feather with any random person's blood, lol.

  • That was pretty good, should've found this before I started playing

  • I never really knew about planning either. I should play assassins creed again even though I'm playing the second one now

  • Nice guide. I think i'll replay AC1 now like this even though i beat it a while ago, but when I did I just did the minimum information gatherings and didn't put any thought into the entrance/escape.
