for the past number of years, the Government of Ireland 'claimed' it knew nothing about Industrial school abuses....this is not so; in the early 1990's then Minister for Education, Mary O'Rourke, claimed in a Dail Debate about the abuses occuring in Artane; in previous years, the 'professional people' including Judges, knew about the abuses, no one 'stopped' or dared to 'speak out; Consequently, the survivors emanated from these hell holes, with a history ascribed as 'damaged' and regretfully, 'disbelieved... - created at http://animoto.com

With the impeding publication of the Murphy report into the Dublin
Archdieses abuse, the politicians are out in force with their obligatory statements of disgust at its contents while at the same time they work hand in glove with the church to protect its assets. To date 1.3 billion euros of taxpayers money has been spent to settle these abuse cases while the church contributed less than 1/10 of that sum.
