Where can i find Silat Seligi Tunggal Kemuning Classes in Choa Chu Kang ?

I was once a Seligi disciple but left it

when Angkatan fought away from the original

teachings .

its at CCK ave 4 near the main road, there is a banner stating when and where the training takes place.

I can tell by your words that you have been a student a long time back. I'll let you make the choice yourself. Make a visit to clementi and cck. Get the history right. Where it originated from. Who was the founder. What is the meaning behind it. I'm sure you'll be able to make out which is the original one.

I remember picking up weapons training in Seligi after a year or so when i was younger , now the weapon training apects are being replaced by the common place tournament style combat.

where have all the gurus who taught the keris , long staff , short staff , tonfa and sai ?

remembered that 2 of the seligi trainers were weapon experts.

Why the Songkok head dress ?

When i picked up Seligi about more than 15 years ago , we never wore the traditional male head dress .

thanks for the vital info about this wonderful silat style and yes i would like to come down for a look at the original silat seligi tunggal which i had studied more than 10 years ago.

after angkatan separated due to an arguement between you know who and the mahaguru , i was left in a dilemma and the angkatan became tournament sports combat instead of the original teachings of seligi.

seligi is not circularised by PERSISI and has its own techniques which i like.

ini lah padah nye kalau kita tak selidik dahulu gurunye btul atau bertauliah. Adakah gurunye dah resgiter dgn persisi keblum.

jgn lah terpedaya dgn ini smua,go for the original dimana guru nye diclementi telah di beri kuasa penuh oleh almarhum guru lama.ini lah padahnye kalau takde yg kasi tau org jadi ikut2an yg salah dan akan diketawakan oleh org lain.

The guru with the long hair and glasses , ah i still remember him teaching at Bukit Panjang area and he was a weapon specialist if i am not mistaken.

Because i studied the usage of golok , parang and long bladed weapons from him and a few of the other silat experts.

Seligi used to teach more weapons , from Staff fighting , Blades and even usage of wooden weapons, but i rarely see them train in these very traditional art.

Silat in singapore is being too watered down thesedays.
