The Polish National Catholic Church

About a small (25 000 people) Catholic church in the US and Poland. It is in fact one of few christian churches that the Vatican recognize as legitime (Apostolic succession, valid orders and sacraments) without having official relations with the Bishop of Rome or the Eastern Orthodox churches.

A sad thing though with this video report is that the PNCC is described as a very liberal church, which it isn't.

@MsPerogi Where do you get that we don't have to attend confessions. As a roman catholic, i've read in the catechism ( i forget where) say you have to go at least once a year at the minimum. Also, while we don't have to eat meat, i've heard that a person must make some other sacrifice on friday such as giving up sweets or something like that. I'm not trying to condemn you, just trying to help with some misconceptions

@MsPerogi You are right. There was an earlier break between the Oriental Orthodox Churches and the Orthodox Catholic Churches. The Council of Chalcedon declared that Christ has a dual nature, equally devine and equally human. The Monophysites believe that he has only a divine nature, so they broke away. Christianity back then was in a mess at it is today.  After the persecutions ended, Christians came out of hiding with different beliefs, traditions and even writings.

@ms212ms You are correct! The Orthodox churches are more theologically correct than Rome is! However you are incorrect as to when the Orthodox Churches First broke with Rome! The first split took place at the council of chaceden in 451! That is when Five churches all Monophysite Churches; Armenian, Egyptian, Syrian, Ethiopian, and Indian Mankala churches broke with both Constantinople and Rome together!

What would happen if you died? And found a Purgatory or Hell in your after life?

@thekrazed12 We Orthodox say that the Roman Catholic Church is defective because the Bishops of Rome (the Popes) has added false doctrines to the original faith. If you look back historically, the Ecumenical Councils established the doctines of the Orthodox Catholic Church, not the Popes. When the Popes added the filoque the the Nicean Creed, the doctrines of the Immaculate Conception and Papal Infallibility, etc. they over went their authority.
