I don't simply just punch it up and it prevents the banging.

@loxspliff1 thats a side i'd never thought of lol, shame i cant bang the kettlebell all over my forearms when snatching ;)

i actually prefer the wrist smashing because im a kickboxer and it greatly calcifies my bones in my forearm

banging your wrist with a ketlebell means only poor form. A martial artist should know how to toughen his forearm from through martial art practice. It is unnecessary to do so trough sloppy kettlebell tecnique. By learning how to insert the hand correctly you will be able to do a much higher volume of training and develope more density in the forearm through higher volume of training. Cotter himself has many years of martial art training.

I watched the DVD again in slow motion. Even in the ones that look like the KB is flipping over, the hand is moving around the KB , not the other way around. It's all in the timing as the KB approached the peak. I love the Encyclopedia DVD's. It will tale me years to master all the techniques in them.

So thos is also a legit way you can do it in case you want to do the RKC? just askin...
This is the proper snatch, I dont know which other form of snatch you have seen/practicing, If U are flipping the kb over the hand and banging on the wrist a la RKC that is not the cirrect form. Are you from India ? Steve will be teaching courses in India I believe september 2011. Please let me know i
