San Diego State's women's basketball team opened up the San Diego Surf 'N Slam Tournament with an 88-72 win over SMU on Friday night at Viejas Arena. Chelsea Hopkins recorded her first career triple-double for the Aztecs, scoring a team-high 22 points while collecting 10 rebounds and handing out 11 assists. SDSU (9-3) will take on the Oklahoma State-Harvard winner in Sunday's championship.
