Jack est un passager de l'Oceanic 815. Son avion se crash sur une île et Jack s'en sort blesser, il est soigné par une jeune femme qu'il avait repéré dans l'avion « Kate ». Entre eux s'installent une complicité naturelle, un amour inavoué et pur jusqu'au jour où Kate pendant un moment de faiblesse couche avec un autre passager, sous les yeux de Jack. Tous s'écroulent pour eux deux. Mais une autre rescapée de l'île « Juliet » arrive blessée à leur campement après avoir vu le crash de leur avion. Entre Jack et elle s'installe une fusion et Kate doit assiste impuissante aux conséquences de son acte, vivre à coté de celui qu'on aime alors que lui commence à en aimer une autre.

Jack's a passenger of Oceanic 815. His air plan crashed on an island and Jack got injuried. A young woman that Jack saw in the air plan took care of him.
