Originated in Central America - exact location is unknown.It was later taken to Spain and other European countries during the time of the slave trade.While Horchata was in Europe it was changed to fit its cultural.All of this is a great example of cultural diffusion :D

The whole latin american area creates Horchata in different ways. So it's not purely Valencian, nor purely Honduran. Many places create Horchata.
