Skiis do make a difference and it is up to the individual skiier as to which ones they like to ski on. Jules would not have switched from Rossi to Volkels unless there was a difference. Even in the Recreational world skiis are different and are designed for different types of skiing, powder, bumps, etc. Personally, I love a great all around ski because you may get all the different conditions in one day for recreational skiing.

I think ski brands do make a difference, just most of skier cannot ski them to the limits of their characteristics where the differences would be felt. So until then it's all an emotional relation game, like in case of most products we use.

I think it doesn't really matter in fact of which brand your ski's are

maybe a slightly different technique is needed for another ski, but I think that all ski brands are good, if you see it like that

e.g., I skied GS on Fischer, but now I have Nordica GS, and to be honest, I don't feel any difference =D
