We attached a Wind blue permanent magnet generator to the axis using gears and chains at ratio 1:3 Now the turbine does not start to rotate as easily but still easy enough at low wind speeds.

  • put it on top of a 30meter pole, and watch what happens

  • first we will do some testing on ground and then we will put this beauty on top of a 20m high building.

  • Which model of Wind Blue generator did you use?

  • hi, it is DC-540. It reaches 12v at 150RPM. Have not had an opportunity to test it fully yet

  • Very nice build. I have seen a company somewhere that builds VAWTs very similar to what you have there. I have a few ides for building similar, but havent gotten started yet.

  • Hi mate :)

There are ways to improve this design more by adding horizontal ribs on those wings. But I have to test that.

  • fantastic! wat do you make it of?

  • whats material you use for make this

  • how did you build the wings?

  • cool :) nice work :)

  • Nice turbine, what kind of material did u use to build it? is that plastic

  • hi Jetijs, do you sell it?

  • Sveiki, gandrīz jau gads pagājis, ir kādi vati saražoti vai akut kas mainījies uzbūvē?

Varbūt tomēr vel lielāks zobrats vajadzīgs?

  • Sveiks! Kā Tev var nosūtīt kādu ziņu?

  • Good job! However, you will get significantly more power (30%) out using 2 separate blades with partial overlap. This will allow the wind to press on both helixes at the same time (from both directions). Have a look at windside(DoT)com/design for inspiration! I´m on the way to establish something like this. Did you use GFC materials or metal?

  • Hi, you mentined the helix drives a generator, did you measure the average voltage or power output?
