For me, this music represents Xenakis' pinnacle. It has it all: piano, percussion, strings, horns and woodwinds -each perfectly balanced and proportioned, like a chamber concerto for piano and each section in turn -and (at other times) the whole ensemble in unison.
I also love the fade-out, which leaves me with the feeling that the music continues forever -only I've stopped hearing it; as though it were rather I, the listener, who had faded out: the music (representing the universe) is eternal.
