this is a tribute to one of my favorite planes, the Focke Wulf FW-190. Also known as the Butcher Bird.

  • very nice video, but why you didnt put the famous Svastika cross on your FW 190 ??? ...

    Best regards, Phil.

  • @phillikevideos If you are talking about the 190 Vortexes FW-190s, they don't deal Nazis. However, I have a FW-190A-8 that i use in rps called Rabe and it has the swastika on it.

  • Nice shots. I'm building a model of the a3 and these are nice for reference.

  • @lunhil12 I'm glad you have a reference video :) I have a model of the A5 I'm putting together.

  • Great aircraft, I bet the Japanese Zero was a copy of this ???

  • @mosquito1958 Nope, I believe the Zero flew before the FW-190

  • @MrBuddydan

Not a DB engine since DBs have the supercharger intake on the left, and Jumo engines have the supercharger intake on the right. The plane at 5:42 is the Fw190-D9 production prototype Fw190 V53, Werk. No. 170003.

  • What the heck is that DB inline hybrid at5:42.A field modification with a Me-109F/G daimler benz inline?

  • Kurt Tank's masterpiece!

  • @mosquito1958 No, they say the Zero took it's influence from an American design. The Vought V-143. Chance Vought sold Japan the prototype of his fighter. This is debatable and widly belived that it looked similar to the Vought, after that it was all Mitsubishi's design. The Zero was a Carrier fighter and was a monster from 1937 to 1942 with a kill ratio of 10 to 1 confirmed. Believe little of what you read on Wiki sites. Read books at the library. Look at Wiki's refrences and there just b.s..

  • @shaddowsword Yes the Zero first flew in 1936. FW-190, well everyone watching this video know's the story of the Butcher Bird. I know they used German 20mm cannons on some of them.
