June 19, 2010, on the Great Lawn in Manchester, CT. Malcolm & I filmed the new owner, Earl Parent, and heard about his plans for renovation of this turn-of-the-last-century house, originally built for Horace Bushnell Cheney, grandson of Hartford's famous Congregationalist minister, Horace Bushnell, for whom Bushnell Park is named. The shingle-style mansion has fine architectural details, both inside and out. The film will air on Cox public access tv, maybe in September, on the 8 p.m. Saturday slot of the Manchester Historical Society.
Hi
My name is paul best, I live in new orleans
my fathers mother is a Bushnell from CT.
I amin the process of studying all of Horace Bushnell's works and the various bios.
Recently I discovered there is a Bushnell Civic Center in Hartford CT, and requested that a honorary event be held for america's greatest religious thinker.
Hope all the Bushnell's in the Connecticut area will attend the seminar on Horace Bushnell.
