When the Knighthoods were announced for CERTAIN world cup winners, Roger was not on the list. He had played in every game and scored 3 goals. His goals had got England through the group stages almost single handed. The Liverpool supporters immidiately called him "Sir Roger Hunt". At the time, Liverpool were not a 'fashionable' club and it was felt that that went against him. I have seen all of them over the last 50 years and Roger was the best of the lot.

You look at the people who have been knighted and wonder, why has no Liverpool legend ever been knighted?! Callaghan received his OBE for winning the world cup in 1966 last year
