extra wonderful - my own father (daddy) and I didn't speak or see each other for over 15 years. we finally reconciled a few years before he died. This was a great song.

She has a resemblance to Lee Ann Womack in looks and sound. I am glad I found this lovely lady singing. I don't think she sounds a lot like Tammy, but she is a modern refined version of her mother, who I love as well! This is a precious song considering he is now 80! Hard to believe! I think she does better at her own material versus doing covers of her parents songs, not saying she doesn't do them well, but I think she has a powerful enough voice to carry out her own material as well.

Hits me hard !!! I have had a strained relationship with my dad and after 30 yrs. we are finally getting to know each other . He is a recovering alcoholic, when I was younger I went to Ala teen meetings, BUT nothing ever prepared me for ALL the pain and EMBARRASSMENT he had put me through !!! Time has healed some wounds and I've just learned to take it one day at a time with him !!! AWESOME SONG !!!!

Every one should share this video on FB, etc. There are other videos on youtube of this song, but this one goes perfect with the lyrics. This is what pure country music is all about. This deserves a Grammy, but because the lyrics contain the LORD, it may not go far. Honor thy Father and Mother don't go very far these days either. What a shame.

This will probably get ignored by the lamestream media just like most any music that has an old time ring to it. Maybe if Georgette wore a shorter skirt, wrote trashier lyrics, and George would grab a cheap hat and swing across the stage this one might get some attention.
