I think that when you get past the first year or so, you should continue playing the game, but edit down the gameplay. For example, record 3-5 game days at a time, and cut it down. If there's no important events in that time, don't make a video about those days, but mention what you did when you do make another video. I know editing is a pain, but would 900 parts or maybe around 250 be better in the end? Just a thought, it'd also help your editing skills if you want to get better.
