Ain't No Sunshine A Cappella

All the voices are me. The original classic is by Bill Withers (1971). This is my first venture into R&B. Badasscommy got soul! :P

Every time I hear this song, it gets stuck in my head, and yesterday I finally decided to do something about it. I based it all on the original song and some chords from the internet. It took about 3-4 hours to record and edit.

I used Acoustica Mixcraft coupled with a Perception 100 mic, a Firebox preamp, and a StudioV3 preamp. There are a total of 11 tracks (each individual, i.e. no doubling of voices). The only effect added is reverb. There's no pitch-correction or anything like that.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that was actually pretty craptastic.  Sorry whomever posted this or was singing thing... but this just didn't do it for me. The leader singer had no rythm at all... you were all over the place my friend.

As a group though - it was pretty good... I mean the backup singers who were setting the mood. Now THAT was well done....
