My God! This is the most insanely difficult piece I've ever come across... This makes the Rach 3 and Prok 2 look almost easy....

Nothing wrong with him, guy. He' s only completely into the concert and that' s very important to a pianist. That' s the whole idea and SPIRIT of classical music, you know. Without emotions, there wouldn' t be any music.

@alciefrederic I think people are getting away from that stoic pretentious air that classical music has endured really only since the early 20th century when conductors like Stokowski and Toscanini discouraged applause between movements.. I don't know about Bartok, but I'm pretty sure Beethoven would have mugged it up for the audience in his day. For me it is better to dispense with the pretense and show a little passion.

@wisecritic333 so agree, tricky concerto, but hammering away is bad. x

WOW!! Jim Carrey is playing the piano!

what the hell is wrong with this guy? Not to say that the performance is bad in anyway, in fact, it's awesome. However the pianist is too "expressive", if you know what I mean. Well, nothing wrong with that, but it's a bit unseemly.

finally a version with a pianist who isn't only banging. Great sound.
