New Year's Day seems like an awfully long time ago. So it's pretty alarming that we've been working for the government this whole time! Tax Freedom Day, on April 23rd, marks the day we stop earning money for the government and finally start to keep the money we earn.

Tax Freedom Day in Austria is the 31th July 2011! 3 days later than it was in 2010! But we have a free healthcare system, a state pension and so on.
