Milton Berle was making fun of Elvis. He never had any idea Elvis would become a lot bigger than him.

@derfrebraf Milton Berle was really no different from today's talk show comedians poking fun at today's celebrities while those performers might be sitting right across from them. Berle was respectful of Elvis; Steve Allen, on the other hand, went out of his way to make Elvis feel like a complete joke.
