Magicka: The Stars Are Left DLC Part 4: Cthulhu and Lag Don't Mix

For those of you wondering what exactly was happening with the audio: When recording a game with Fraps, which we use, Fraps splits the recording into smaller segments, usually somewhere between 3 to 5 minutes long, to keep the final recording from becoming an unreasonably huge file. Well, something about the new Magicka patch caused Fraps and Magicka to not get along, causing massive lag each time Fraps started a new segment. Because this lag only affected the video, this meant the audio continuously got more and more de-synchronized. However, it doesn't stop there. Fraps records audio on two levels. One for external input, ie. Brent's microphone, and the other for Windows sounds, ie. the game volume and the Skype call. This meant that Brent's audio also got de-synchronized from the Skype call. But, since it was all recorded on one track, nothing could be done about it. Again, we're really sorry about all of this.
