The song is about a story where people in a village hear music at night from a spooky castle up the hill. The People are afraid of what lives there. But a little girl accidentally finds that out.

This is a composition I made in 2003. I recorded this movie in September 2006 though.

  • Wow, what an awesome song! It fits the title perfectly. Just out of curiosity, what key is it played in?

  • I believe it starts in G-minor, but it quickly modulates to many different keys.

  • it would be cool to learn this song as well maybe sell sheet sometime in the future? o.o

  • I do have the sheetmusic, but I didn't suppose people would like to buy it to learn the song... ? :-/

  • I love it it's amazing. It has a haunting melody, that makes you want to dance in a big ballroom. (it maybe that's just me)

  • Actually you're right, the scene where the song takes place is a ballroom in a castle where ghosts are dancing.

  • I really wish I can married you,, so that i can see & hear you play piano Everyday for the rest of my life!!! :D

  • I'm also a composer and a pianist, and I have to say I really like this composition. Congratulations. The best part in my opinion is from 00:40 to 00:45. I like the scale alterations, the uncommon chords and the heavy use of dominant / dominant's dominant. Nice work, pal.

  • You have composed it?? wow...I would like to compose as good as you. how do you make such a thing? only by trying out? I wonder how it can be...that´s amazing! ;)

  • @NightShader1 If you would be so kind as to provide the sheet music on your store, I would love to learn this piece.

  • - the crowd of dead, and held out his hand. With a bright and gentle smile he said "Excuse me miss, may I have this dance? It's not often we get to meet the newly dead..." And with those words, no one but the girl heard, a scream rang out from the castle, yet no one came down from it. This is a tale of fiction my friends, and I hope I did not frighten you too much... but remember, never trust a ghost with a nice smile.

  • Now, to the best of her judgment, she knocked on the door when she reached the castle. It was answered by a tall man, a butler if I would ever call a man one. He was ugly, but had a genuine smile. He lead her to the music, which brought her shock and awe. A piano playing on it's own! Her heart must have jumped right out of her chest far before she noticed that people dancing. Oh, how dead they were... so see through, but happy none the less. They suddenly stopped, and a man made his way through-

  • The song is about a story where people in a village hear music at night from a spooky castle up the hill. The People are afraid of what lives there. But a little girl accidentally finds that out. And on her way home, curiosity got the best of her, and she wandered up the hill after the music. Oh that hill, the poor girl... she knew not what waited for her. Yet, she was a brave one, but even the bravest in the presence of music from the unknown still get a chill down their spines...

  • This is the best song you've done! Really amazing!

  • I love all of your composition!!!

  • Very nice, keep on composing :)

  • you are a genius

  • This song almost makes me want to animate the happenings in the description... been hankering at doing some spooky stuff, too. ;)
