  • The planet gear set was from ATI instead of A-1 I think, and the ratios may be slightly different.

  • It's a C4 automatic, but I have to shift it manually (acts like Jerico/Liberty). I put a reverse manual valve body in it. I changed the stock ratios. The original C4 has ratios of 1st 2:46:1, 2nd 1:46:1, and 3rd 1:1 respectively. I got a new planet from A-1 transmission with ratios 1st 2:92:1, 2nd 1:84:1 and 3rd 1:1. I also added a performance automatic (P/A) servo and a transbrake. The converter I have is set to 3500 stall. I recommend a P/A input shaft, because my stock one twisted up.

  • My engine came out of an old police car too. The car was an 85 crown vic. Mine wasn't a roller, nor did it have EFI. The heads are trick flow twisted wedge. To fit aftermarket headers you'll probably have to heat the shock towers with a torch and hit it with a large hammer. The upper control arms are rather close to that area so it may puncture through which mine did. I'm dealing with that right now and bought some upper controls arms from street or track to fit in the smaller area and re-weld.

  • what kind of headers are they, im looking for long tubes for my 351w

  • I'm using some regular long tube Hedman headers for a 64-65 mustang. They probably fit well with factory heads, but I'm running trick flow twisted wedge aluminum heads and the falcon is a little shorter in the hood area than the mustang, so I had to cut the driver side firewall tube and bend it a bit. The shock towers also needed to be heated and beat in a little. The Hedman headers get rusty, but a good header for the money. I also have a manual steering box, because it was a 6 cylinder car.

  • ok thanks well im not really worried about the space because my 351w is going in a 1978 f-100 lol

  • Yea you can probably fit 2 of them in that hood!
