Comfortably Numb Solo from Argentina

This video is just a simple "thanks" to Dave Gilmour. The sound is not the sound of Dave`s guitar, try to imagine it. May be someone can help me about how to find a similar sound on the guitar. I don´t know wich pedal shall I use to find that great sound, or how to play it best. I use the following set:

Laney LC-30 1x12.
Seymour Duncan Tube Driver pedal (the sound is more like the Eric Clapton).
Fernandes R8 Stratocaster with EMG SA (this mics Are not the best for playing with a few pedals).

no tengo nada. la saqué de oido. Para hacerlo sonar "parecido" recomiendo tocarlo desenchufado. Luego de practicar hacerlo sonar así, recién ahí está bueno enchufar la viola y hacerlo sonar otra vez. La mano es más importante que el sonido. Slds.

That sound you're looking for is called a "fuzz." Many people use a Big Muff Pi to get it. But, if you've got the money, a high quality germanium Fuzz Face (like the analogman sunface or oxfuzz) would be spot on.

@ivanjairala Pentatonica en el traste "9" y de ahi vas trasladando las escalas, (para improvisacion) , cuando empieza comfortably numb , hace pentatonica y diag 1, del traste 9 al 12, saludos..

Was that real? Cause I'm pretty sure I've only heard David play it better. Finally somebody on YouTube covering him has realized he doesn't stop every note or let the others ring without vibrato. Amazing!!
