Joey Santiago is possibly the most underrated guitar player of all time. He has had a large influence on music without receiving any true recognition. His brutal, fuzzy guitar playing is so innovative. It wasn't done to that extreme before!!!

First saw the Pixies in 1989 at Tipatinas in New Orleans. I was 16, had never heard of them and figured any band that called themselves the Pixies wasn't worth knowing...shows how stupid we can be when we're young. Joey is still one of the most underrated noise gods of all time, along with Mascis and Cobain. Pixies always!
