National Archaeological Museum in Athens

The National Archaeological Museum holds more wonderful works of ancient Greek art and sculpture than any other museum in the world.
Masterpieces of Cycladic, Minoan, Mycenaean and classical Greek art are a must see experience. The bronze of Artemision Poseidon (5th century B.C.), the Antikythera mechanism and the funerary mask of "Agamemnon" are examples of the collection.
The Thira collection, artifacts of the Minoan civilization on the island of Santorini (Thira) are important to view before you visit the island.
