There have been reports of impropriety in the judging (the fact was there was no swearing-in ceremony) and there was a grassroots movement (evidently ignored) for handicapping the competition relative to the aggregate body mass of each trip of competitors. Next year, the MLE needs to take a closer look at these issues prior to the inevitable rematch.
