@KirbyVolt the reason is that the musical is more based on the short stories than the movie was. It is different but I agree, both are great adaptations.

@hugh0221 The musical isn't a direct adaptation of the film, so quite a bit was changed. I personally don't like that George doesn't sing this song (and that it's not the finale of the show), but they made the changes for good reasons I'm sure. This is a great version too in its own right.
