People have told me that Carp don't taste very good. I've also heard, from one individual that their taste is all dependent on where they're caught, and that some are actually pretty good.
Are the Carp here worth eating, or are they more of a catch and release sport here?

Nice fish, I caught a 40 from almost that exact spot (closer to the hostel) a few months ago!

where did you fish from?

The fish were caught from the south side, east of I-35. Directly across from the old power plant.
As far out as you can cast.
