@groinhat Forget the 'green bits from the Welsh flag', We have a saint too! The cross of saint David is a gold cross on a black background. Now; would'nt the Union Flag look much better with the crosses' of saint Andrew, Patrick and George high-lighted on a background [or fore-front] of yellow and black? As for the idea of amending the Brit flag to include the Welsh there's two options.

1. Put a dragon on it. That would be cool.

2. Wait a couple of years til Scotland regains its independence and replace the blue bits of the union jack with green bits from the Welsh flag. That would be a fair and balanced reflection of the new political status quo but obviously not as cool as a dragon.

@TheMG63 - I appreciate your comment you are obviously sincere in your opinion. I think we are all (English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Cornish and immigrant) victims of an elite establishment who are the only element that has more to loose than to gain by the formal recognition of the separate nations. I am just very fed up of the paid trolls who dominate comment boards like youtube and are paid to pour scorn on the Cornish for example. As an honourable Englishman I am sure you would deplore it.

@TheMG63 only parts of east anglia and lincolbshire could be considered possibly majority germanic in the saxon tribal sense....with parts of NE english coast more slanting towards danish area although we cant tell difference lol as danes and saxons same allele variation

@TheMG63 but the english are about 80 -90% relating to brythonic and older allele frequencies. I have been a genetical historian/researcher at universities such as York for 6 years......england was a very mixed place culturally but the genetics are still majority realting back to the first iberian enclave settlers thats the whole point - science helps

The Union is a dead duck, and the sooner we all have our independence from each other the better. As an Englishman I wouldn't dream of flying the Union flag as it represents a union I don't believe in.
