I knew something wasn't right here! From "Archie's Funhouse".
NOTE: Buy the "Archie's Funhouse" DVD! It has all the songs/videos, even a lot of which are not here, and in better quality!

  • Sabrina: "A boy named Jughead. He refuses to by one (amulet) for Big Ethel. It's breaking her heart.

    Ambroise: "HER HEART?!"

  • @ChurchOfKali66619 I never really thought of "Highway to Hell" as emo-Satanic. I think a Slayer song would be much better suited for that purpose.

  • Big Ethel is probably the most hated character in all the Archies series.

  • Guilty, evil confession: I just LOVE to open two windows, put an Archies or Sabrina cartoon on one and the evilest, most emo-Satanic rock songs I can find on the other. My favorites are AC/DC "Highway to Hell" with "Get on the Line" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with "Comes the sun."

    I'm evil, I know it----

  • Reggie sounds like Eugene Levy, even tho I'm sure Eugene was still in Canadian high school when these came out.

  • Quite a surprise. I did not know Big Ethel and Clark Gable were related to each other. Interesting. Never really read the Archie comics all that much, just watched them on TV for many years.

  • Umm, cousin, he IS Clark Gable. In the Archies comics, Big Ethel really was Clark Gable's niece, no foolin'.

  • The man wearing the red jacket at 0:47 bears a striking resemblance to Clark Gable

  • this wasn't an episode but my favorite in one of the comics where Jughead's mom forced him to go out with ethel to a ball game and she didn't have a good time because she was worried about somebody spilling a drink into her lap, this bugged Jughead so bad he ended up pouring his drink onto her dress and said "Now we can sit and enjoy the game!"

  • That Big Ethel, she's always chasing Jughead all over the place, taking everything all serious and stuff like that.

I recall one episode when Big Ethel was crying uncontrollably because Jughead refused to give him an amulet.
