For the 2012-2013 Season if you step on an offensive player's shadow will get you a personal foul, step on it for more than 3 seconds a flagrant foul. Do it for more twice you are ejected.

I heard that after the 91' season when Jordan and Scottie dunked in the knicks face the whole series, Riley showed the team tape and told them 'That will never happen again. So during the 92'-95' Riley era the Knicks had the "no-layup rule" and "don't talk to the opposing teams' bench rule. Both of these rules would be considered foreign nowadays
