@lemonlover just because there are no 1000hp ls motors at that one event doesnt mean they dont exist, theyre just at other events and in cars that can go down a drag strip halfway decent while all the 1200hp vipers and supras are running high 11's with like a 150mph trap speed lol

@1988montecarloss An LS also has the displacement of a 2JZ and then some. They're both great motors, but which one do you see dominating at events like TX2KXX,
The ones dominating are TT gallardos, TT vipers, and supras. While it origina;;y started as a supra meet, it's now a culmination of the fastest street cars and there's just not an extravagant amount of corvettes and transam's in the mid 1000hp range

@lemonlover hot rod magazine made 1200hp on a stock 4.8 truck motor bottom end, a stock LS will hold what a stock 2jz will hold and then some

@chemao1978 I'm not real up to speed in the LS world, but most of the time when I see LS's with forged internals they're only making 800-1000hp.
A 2JZ-GTE will do that without ever being opened.
