One Economics Lesson Away From Liberty
As Congressional Candidate John Jay Myers said on the show last night, many liberals are simply one lesson in economics away from being libertarians. That is, if they studied economics enough to see past the propaganda of government intervention, they would at least have more faith in the market than in central planning. One of the most obvious liberal economic mythologies to debunk is the minimum wage which can be easily demonstrated to hurt the poor and disadvantage minorities. This is why it is so important as advocates of liberty that we educate ourselves. If the economic arguments I present here are not totally obvious, I would recommend reading Ludwig Von Mises and FA Hayek. This episode includes a bonus segment in which we debunk all of the myths that listeners suggested for the show.
