@nivaldin Many people will not put on their seat belts for themselves, but the thought of their families having to deal with their injury or death causes them to wear the seat belts. His wife and child saved him because he put on the belts for them. And, no language was needed to get the point across.

the seat belt didn't save my brother, probably killed him because he was unable to get his head away from the roof of the car. Seat belts have also killed people because they are caught under water and can't get them undone. yes, probably 98% of the time you are safer with it on but I don't think it should be a law when there are cases that you are safer without it on. Seat belts took my brother away from me and by God will not take me as well.

I always wear my seatbelt, even though I didn't like it when I was younger.

I was in a bad car wreck a couple of years ago, flipping my car completely one-and-a-half times. If I hadn't have been wearing my seatbelt, despite all the bruises the belt left, I would have probably died.
