@ipodpunker I am no longer using any components of XFCE. I reinstalled Arch Linux and I am using COMPIZ as a standalone window manager with openbox when I wish to shut off desktop effects. I am using Avant as my panel with the cardapio menu obtainable from the AUR.

@LinuxSpatry i think you are using XFCE desktop environment thats what it looks like ... umm yeah im using XFCE now and loving it alot i'm gonna make a video of my debian / ubuntu XFCE desktop i love it alot better than Gnome 3 and unity i know E17 been using it for many years man i'm a linux expert even though i dont use ARCH lol i do use slackware and redhat or fedora or centos but yeah i use opensuse before and solaris so i know i was just wondering dude thanks for the feedback

@TheAmazingAtheos Make sure you check your downloaded image against the MD5Sum... You may have to download it again...

@ipodpunker Arch does not use RPM or DEB but between their respositories and the AUR they have just about every application under the sun.... I have been able to find almost everything.. I am willing to bet they have yahoo messenger, though I do not use it.

@ipodpunker You can use E17 as a desktop... it is very easy to install. I am using compiz as a standalone Window manager... it is not a desktop environment.

we all knew u'd love Arch Spatry. one question...are you familiar with the liquorix kernel? not sure what it is about it...but u'll definitely see a difference when it comes to processor use. check it out.
