  • Nice display of linux power! I can vouch for this. I have a 2.5Ghz core duo notebook, maxed out with 4gb of ram. It will handle anything I throw at it. literally.

  • yeah this is with just 1GB of ram =p

  • I have seen the video you responded to, what apps was he running? You can run 72 low resource apps ... deadrat made a video showing how many videos he can open, at least we have an idea how much power is needed. I can open 72 browsers, and that would count as 72 apps, so I take that with a grain of salt.

  • yeah, he was just mostly running web browsers and like his home folder and just shit like that. so i did the same but i ran more heavy programs. when i get my quad and more ram ill re-due this video.

the kid thought only OSX can multitask.

anyone cna open 74 tabs on a browser.

    haha

  • How long until your birthday?

  • 70 days =[

    it will come fast tho.

    =]

  • you see linux can run many apps no proble on the other hand windows has problem opening one window!

  • holly shit!

  • dude - "yum install recordmydesktop"

you should get some passable video

  • Ubuntu and Fedora are both distributions of linux, distros each come installed with their own set of packages, but each distro is capable of doing anything the other distros can do with the proper packages installed. So, yes, you can do that.
