Gruesome violence in Kenia after MP's murder

Gunmen have shot dead a Kenyan opposition politician at his home sparking more killings.

Police said two men shot the legislator, Melitus Were, in his car at his gate in the Woodley district of Nairobi then fled the scene. Two Kenyan military helicopters later fired on armed crowds terrorising refugees in the lakeside city of Naivasha as violence in the east African nation threatened to spiral out of control.
