What could be nicer than a sunny afternoon by a river bank, with the sound of birdsong and rippling water...

Chords in this are simple:

Am Am G G
Am Am G G
C C Dm Dm
C G Am Am

  • Hi Will! I really like the composition - Sort of Del Shannon meets Mark Knopfler - very creative genre blending - love it... Nice proof that once again sweet chord work and a tight melody line can still win the day over pure speed... well done!

  • Thanks for the kind words. I was a huge fan of Del Shannon - used to play "Runaway" in a rock'n roll trio many years ago! I put this together because I broke 2 nails and had to go back to a pick!

  • Good stuff. Did you create the backing track yourself or was it downloaded?

  • Hi Bill - I did the backing track myself - just drums, bass and a rhythm guitar. I'll be posting the (downloadable mp3) backing on a Soundclick page tomorrow morning...

  • Hi Will, I agree with GreyStrat this has a nice 50's ring to it. Your ASAT sounds great! I went to your soundclick page and did not find the backing track, did you post it?
