I'm fat, have always been fat, and all I can say is people need to stop taking everything, everyone, and themselves, so seriously. Especially people who aren't fat and complain anyway.
I found this absolutely hilarious, and the banned one was pretty damn good as well. You're all a disgrace to Australian culture, stop bitching and have a laugh. This is what we get when the media jam packs extreme political correctness so far up our arses we can't even have a laugh at something funny.

Even if it is sincere, I think the reason the other ad is just too offensive is because it pitches teasing fat people in the same playing field as racism and homophobia, which are really hateful and damaging things. I don't think anybody can truly hate a person for being fat, at least not in the same way. Many people have been terribly scarred by racial and homophobic hate speech and therefore probably don't appreciate their grievances being compared to those of people who overeat.

Well it would have been nice to see two serious pitches about this issue. It's kinda sad that being fat is SO vilified it's akin to being a criminal and completely irredeemable in the eyes of many. The fact this ad won kinda proves that to me, when to me the pitch failed.

This ad is the more offensive than the one that got banned. It does nothing to assuage the negative sterotypes that induviduals have about fat people. IT's disgutsing and just plain FUCKED UP!

And yes, I'm fat.

I think it's funny... people are too sensitive.

haha, hasn't been approved... i wonder why? lolol
Why did people give this comment the thumbs down? It's absolutely TRUE that this ad is more offensive than the banned ad!
All the things they talk about make people MORE inclined to believe that fat people are evil. It was a gag, and the agency clearly didn't believe in their own brief. What the other guy said was when he was asked if he treated the brief seriously: if he wasn't serious, he'd make a gag out of it.

That ad was more offensive than the one that got banned. How could they judge it the winner when all it did was take the piss out of fat people?
