Here's an audio track recorded on a boom box (hence the lousey quality), with some pictures from the few that I have of my musical hobby. The players are myself (John Thompson) on guitar (a 1973 white maple-neck Strat), Ed Kane on bass, Anson Piimauna on drums, at a rec center in Milpitas somewhere around 1979.

  • Thanks for the comment! Sorry, it was nearly 30 years ago, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details. I think one was a Maestro Fuzz/sustain pedal, that mainly just provided some compression. Another was an A/DA flanger, and a Cry Baby wah-wah. I'm not sure which head I was using at the time, but I think it was probably either an Ampeg or a Fender Bassman head with a master volume and preamp overdrive, into a home-made 4-12" cabinent (shown in one of the pictures).
