  • realman789 , your underdeveloped country has no culture to present to our world. You know poor guy THIS IS ART and your nation has nothing to do with this. You are criminals who only know how to kill and destroy. Your mind and perceptions are so far behind. YOU ARE A RETARDED NATION THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EUROPE.

  • As an American I can only look at this in envy, knowing that my culture could never produce such a gorgeous work of art. It's a shame that this statue cant be where it belongs, Greece.

  • Jillian mayars made a human statue of herself about this. She actually bit off her arms

  • @realman789 your mom fucking every dude in her trailer park...

  • Maybe she is giving us "the bird" ?

  • A beautiful statue stands in venus, The statue doesn't have a penis!

  • @Hitman4741619 Ancient Greek Goddesses were warriors like the male ones.It isn't weird but humor is welcome.

  • @LeonAmarantos Yes. I looked further into this and it could have been some kind of parodical humor. The shield would have belong to Ares, and would have been used to show the beauty of love and war.

  • Moreover, all the Gods participated to Trojan war (6 with metropolitan Greeks and 6 with Trojans). Maybe Aphrodite have a shield here (Venus de Milo).

  • @Hitman4741619 Yes, why not??? It could be a shield as you say (even if Athena was a typical warrior Goddess, ancient Greek culture combined beauty with war, Venus and Mars was couple). The left leg of Aphrodite de Milo creates the impression of movement to the whole statue, a movement which seduce the viewer.

  • @LeonAmarantos There is another theory that it could be a shield, which would explain the protruding leg.
