  • I built this model from the AMT Round 2 model kit. I used the box illustrations and the painting guide inside the box. You are right, I did not put aztekking details on my kit. I DID use the Flo Tubes though. They were extremely bright and they tended to overwhelm my JVC Everio camcorder, so my brother suggested resistors to control the brightness factor. Now they seem to be going out in the middle. Next one I will only use LEDs since they are reliable.

  • I'm working on an Enterprise E also. The problem is, I want to hang it instead of putting it on a stand. I can't find a place to put the 9v and still have it replacable. The only thing I can think of is to run wires out of the tail section and run them up to one of the hang points on the ceiling...though that will likely not look very good : /

  • @gundampiloto

I may have a working solution to your problem. I have a Pro Built Moebius Flying Sub I'm working on and I am going to display it in my den by hanging it. I have removed the pins that secure the top hull to the bottom and have epoxied tiny magnets in those locations. They grip well and hold the top and bottom together securely. Yet if I need to change the 9V cell powering my Voodoo FX Light Kit, I can remove the bottom section and replace the battery. hope that helps.

  • Beautiful! You really did the most under rated version of the Enterprise justice ( too many Galaxy Class fanboys knocking the Ent-E these days). Btw, seems you're also an Airwolf fan. With all the 1980's remakes, you'd think Airwolf would have its turn. She still looks as advanced in 2011 as she did in the early 1980s.

  • @Scioneer Glad u liked my video!

I am currently working on a Nebula Class Cruiser from the Next Generation era.

Gonna have the works, blinking navs and strobes plus anti colision lights like on

real aircraft. And the lights are gonna be remote controlled! (Got remote idea from my eldest son, Nathan.)

Have a Happy New Year and Live long and prosper!

  • Nice! I just got the kit for my birthday. Im not doing the lights though, too pro for me:P

  • very nice !!

    Good Work !

  • Not trying to knock the model. It looks good. But a couple of things bug me if you had this professionally built. 1 - no azteking at all (that I can see...may just be the quality of the vid) so it looks a little plain and 2 - if there are flourescent lights in the engines, they are sure underpowered. Looks like an LED in the front and in the back. Usually CCFL lights are 6-12 inches long and would light the entire length of the nacelle(sometimes to brightly). Just doesn't look right.
