RC Lego Excavator 8294

I have modified the Lego Excavator 8294 a little to add 5 PF motors, 3 IR receivers and some gears to make it work. The truck is an old model 8848 from 1980. The music is from http://www.danosongs.com "Free Music by DanoSongs.com".

Nice, just added 2 motors to the boom & IR to mine, but it really needs a third linear actuator and motor for the bucket doesn't it?you have the control to a degree, but it's not quite there. Given you have to have a spare channel (2x Boom, 1x Rotate, 2xDrive) it should be possible to add another there, though you'd probably need a direct attached M to a actuator with some cable running up the boom which isn't so neat.

@cyberprog You are right, but the real problem is that the actuators gets tighter on heavy load, this means that their power is limited. I had to make the boom shorter to make it able to shovel some sand. By the way, driving in the sand with the tracks is a NO-NO, they get stiff.

I've rebuilt recently the 8848 after 25 years!! It's tiny and small compared to new sets but it's still a masterpiece!! Lego never gets old!!!
