I am not quite exactly Latiff, or not even close, but i think of this problem like this:
The thing is kan you devide matter infinely, or must you stop at the certen point, becouse you do not have enough energy. And it is a fact, that the smaller thing, you want to cut in hallf, more energy you need.
Therfore, if there is some Atom (not atom of physics, but of Democritus), i. e. particle to cut wich you would need more energy that whole uniwerse contains, than you find your guy.
LaTiff! How do you know if the universe is continuous or not? Sure I've heard about Plank length and timescales, but I don't understand it, and certainly wouldn't stop the lecture over it. That's something to bring up in your physics class bro.
thr is always someone who tries to over understand it and screws it up for everyone. Its not one to one lecture you asshole...

Or uniwersemay be somehow infinite, so you can have eny amount energy you want.

isn't the rule that generates waves just some finite difference approximation for the wave equation ?
